New MSP Billing Code Not Found

Issue

Some new MSP service codes have been added but they are not available in Oscar.

Updating MSP codes is an ongoing responsibly for the Oscar user.

1.) click Administration

2.) select Billing

3.) select Manage Teleplan

4.) click “update” under “Update Billing Codes”

5.) review the update list and then click the Update Codes button at the upper left.

6.) click “update” under “Update Explanatory Codes”

7.) click “update" under "Update MSP ICD9 Codes"

There are times when MSP will create a new code and will not add it to an update file until much later. These codes can be created manually in Oscar.

1.) click Administration

2.) select Billing

3.) select Manage Billing Codes

4.) click Add Code

5.) enter the service code as described by MSP

a) enter the Service Code (numeric only)

b) enter the Description

c) enter the Price

6.) click Add

7.) repeat steps 4 - 6 for additional codes.
