The Red Inbox Unmatched Lab Indicator Wont Go Away

Issue: the little red indicator next to the inbox will not go away even after all the unmatched labs and documents have been matched and filed.

Solution: the red indicator will not clear while there are HL7 labs in the inbox that are not matched to a patient. Sadly these don't appear after clicking on the red indicator.

To clear ALL unmatched labs:

1.) open the Inbox
2.) from the top left corner of the Inbox, select Search
3.) for provider, select "All"
4.) for Report status; check "New"
5.) click Search
6.) open the labs with a dark yellow highlighting (these are unmatched)
7.) use the dialog that pops-up to match this lab with the correct patient file.
8.) handle lab as normal
9.) repeat from step 5. for every lab highlighted dark yellow

Tip 1:
If a pop-up does appear in step 7, check your Firefox pop-up settings.

Tip 2:
be careful to notice that one of these labs has 3 versions.

Tip 3:
Keep the inbox up-to-date by acknowledging or filing all unacknowledged labs and documents. Labs that are not matched to a patient are easier to catch when the inbox is kept current. The Inbox will perform faster too.
